Where there is any error in the name, surname, date of birth, age or similar other details of a voter whose name is included in the Electoral Rolls published pursuant to Sub-rule (2) of Rule 7 and Rule 13 or where any of such details has to be altered, the voter himself or herself or any of his or her family members shall, within the time mentioned in the programme, make an application, accompanied by the necessary evidence, to the Assistant Name Registration Officer in the format as referred to in Schedule-5, for making correction in such details.
